About Freyjaloft
Freyjaloft is a home textile brand built on 27 years of manufacturing expertise. Behind every piece we make is a factory that has spent decades supplying natural fiber textiles to retailers and brands across 52 countries — and a decision, made in 2026, to bring that same standard of craft directly to the people who live with these things every day.
Our Origins
Weihai Taifu Textile Co., Ltd. was founded in 1999 in Weihai, Shandong, China. Over the past 27 years, we grew into a full-cycle textile manufacturer—handling everything from raw fiber sourcing to spinning, dyeing, weaving, and finishing under one roof. Along the way, we earned Woolmark, OEKO-TEX, GCL International, Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), and Sedex certifications, built long-term supply relationships with internationally recognised retailers, and developed a quiet fluency in what makes a natural fiber textile genuinely worth keeping.
It was this depth of experience that gave rise to Freyjaloft. Not as a reinvention, but as a natural next step: the chance to apply everything we have learned about fiber, craft, and quality to a brand defined entirely by our own standards.
The Name Freyjaloft
The name draws from Freyja — the Norse goddess of love, beauty, abundance, and quiet strength. In Norse mythology, Freyja is not a distant figure. She is present, warm, and deeply connected to what makes a home feel like one: comfort, beauty, and a sense of belonging.
"Loft," in the Nordic tradition, carries a sense of lightness, elevation, and open space — the feeling of a room that breathes.
Together, Freyjaloft is meant to evoke something specific: the kind of home that feels considered without feeling constructed. Textiles that earn their place not by demanding attention, but by making everything around them feel a little more settled.
Our Fibers
Every Freyjaloft piece begins with a fiber, not a trend. We source each material for what it does well, and where it comes from.
Peruvian Royal Alpaca
Sourced from the high-altitude herds of the Peruvian Andes, our alpaca fiber is naturally soft, lightweight, and free from lanolin — making it an ideal choice for those with sensitive skin. Its hollow fiber structure provides exceptional warmth without weight.
Inner Mongolian Cashmere
Cashmere from Inner Mongolia is among the finest in the world, prized for its fineness, warmth, and the quiet refinement it brings to any textile it touches. We source it carefully, blending it into pieces designed to be used and loved for years.
Australian Merino Wool
Merino wool from Australia is renowned for its softness, breathability, and natural temperature-regulating properties. It is the foundation of our cushion collection — chosen for the way it holds structure while remaining genuinely comfortable against the skin.
Lambswool
Taken from a sheep's first shearing, lambswool is finer and softer than standard wool, with a natural elasticity that helps our throws hold their shape over time.
Our Craft
Behind every Freyjaloft piece is a process that resists shortcuts.
Our factory operates a full production cycle in-house: raw fiber arrives, and what leaves is a finished textile — spun, dyed, woven, and finished without the gaps in quality control that come from outsourcing any step along the way.
Some pieces are shaped through jacquard weaving, where pattern and structure are built together, thread by thread, on the loom. Others are finished by embroidery, where a single motif can take hours to complete. Edges are hand-rolled, corners hand-crocheted — details that exist not because they are efficient, but because they endure.
It is a slower way of making things. We think that is exactly the point.
Our Collections
Our range is intentionally focused: wool blankets and throws, woven from alpaca, cashmere, and lambswool; and wool cushions, finished in signature jacquard and embroidery.
Each piece is designed to move easily between rooms and seasons — as much at home draped over a sofa as it is folded at the foot of a bed, or laid across an armchair on a quiet evening. We are not interested in pieces that work only in the right light or the right setting. We make things for the way people actually live.
Our Commitment
We package every order in recyclable materials, because we believe a considered product deserves a considered journey to your door.
We also believe that luxury, properly understood, is not about excess. It is about choosing well, once, and keeping it. A Freyjaloft piece is made to last — not as a marketing claim, but as the natural result of using the right fibers, made the right way, by people who have been doing this for a long time.
